1916 (as battlecruiser)
1922 (as aircraft carrier). This photo was taken at least 20 years before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour Dec 7, 1941. If you. look, the first aircraft is Curtis F6C-3 Hawk fighter and the remaining behind seem to be Martin T4M-1. Carriers were not treated well by both the US and UK, WW2 changed everything
